Honeywell’s Building Automation Xpress Roadshow Rolls Across India, Showcasing Smart Infrastructure Innovations

Honeywell India’s nationwide Building Automation Xpress Roadshow, launched last week in Bengaluru, has now begun its multi-city journey to bring the company’s latest smart infrastructure technologies directly to customers across India. The initiative marks a significant push by Honeywell to engage regional markets beyond metros, offering live demonstrations of its advanced systems in building safety, sustainability and digital efficiency.

Flagged off during the Honeywell Growth Symposium held on October 31 in Bengaluru, the campaign highlights the growing importance of automation and digital transformation in India’s infrastructure sector. The symposium, which convened business leaders, technology experts and Honeywell’s senior leadership, set the stage for discussions on innovation, sustainability and co-creation as key levers for India’s next phase of growth.

The Building Automation Xpress initiative is designed as a mobile experience campaign that allows stakeholders to interact directly with Honeywell’s portfolio, including Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, STQC-certified Video Surveillance, Access Solutions, Building Management Systems and Electrical Products. By creating a hands-on engagement model, Honeywell aims to deepen customer understanding of how its solutions enhance safety, energy efficiency and operational resilience across commercial and public infrastructure.

As part of its broader customer engagement strategy, the company plans to cover more than 9,000 kilometres across 16 cities, spanning Chennai, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Pune, Mumbai, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Jaipur, Chandigarh and culminating in Delhi. Each destination will host tailored product showcases that align with the specific needs and growth priorities of local industries and municipalities.

The roadshow was inaugurated by Ashish Modi, President, Honeywell India; Bilal Hammoud, President and CEO, Honeywell Building Automation; Shailen Chauhan, Chief Commercial Officer, Honeywell Building Automation; and Atul Pai, Vice President and General Manager for India, ASEAN & East Asia, Building Automation, Honeywell India.

Speaking at the flag-off, Honeywell’s leadership emphasized that the roadshow reflects the company’s intent to democratize access to advanced automation and safety technologies. “India’s urban growth story is unfolding rapidly, and automation will play a central role in building safer, smarters and more sustainable environments,” a Honeywell spokesperson noted. The campaign is also expected to strengthen Honeywell’s brand presence in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, where infrastructure modernization and smart city investments are accelerating.

With India positioning automation and sustainability at the heart of its industrial and urban policy framework, Honeywell’s initiative arrives at an opportune time. The Automation Xpress roadshow mirrors the broader megatrend of integrating data, energy management, and safety under unified platforms. Industry observers note that such initiatives not only deepen market visibility but also serve as critical enablers for ecosystem collaboration between solution providers, builders, and government stakeholders.

As the campaign makes its way across India, Honeywell’s mobile showcase is expected to drive stronger awareness of how smart technologies can translate into measurable energy savings, operational efficiency and compliance with evolving safety and green standards.
